Veteran's Day - The kids presented a Reader's Theater to the kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grades.  Afterwards there was an assembly in the gym to honor Vets with a MP West connection.

Reading - This week we are working on identifying adjectives in our story, identifying the elements of a personal narrative story.  Here the kids worked in groups to map out the elements of a personal narrative.

Math - We started our Decimal chapter on Monday.

Social Studies - Pam came and talked to the kids about the Corps of Discovery with Lewis and Clark.

Mr. O'Brien visited again on Friday.  This time teaching the kids how to say some of the colors in Japanese.

Reading - Since we are doing Reader Theaters for Thanksgiving, we are taking time working on correct pacing in a story.  Lots of practice today!

Election Day!  A Reader's Theater about a new voter learning how to vote.  We also read Duck for President for our picture book.  In Social Studies we will be spending some time learning about how our government functions.

PBIS - Emma was our PBIS winner for the month of October.

Dr. Poock reading our next chapter in The Chocolate Touch.

Social Studies - The kids creating their 3 Branches of Government posters.

Some great art work the kids did in Art with Ms Hovey this week.

The Chocolate Touch activity...writing with candy bar wrappers.  Some very creative stories!

M & M's - We joined Mrs. Miller's 3rd grade class and got to know one another a little better using M&M's.  For each color was a different expectation.  For example, if you got blue, you had to tell us what your favorite school subject was.  A great way to meet the other students in our building.

One last chocolate activity...create your own chocolate bar!  Check out the Seesaw posts for their new and improved chocolate bars!
