April 16th - 27th

Math - Working on fractions, adding and subtracting by playing Fraction Golf

Working on using area and perimeter to identify sizes of some of the Southern states as we look forward to our Underground Railroad activities coming soon.

Science - Energy Unit
The kids are figuring out how to light a bulb with a battery, learning about the parts of the light and the circuit and identifying conductors and insulators within a circuit.

Reading - Fairy Tales and making inferences.  The kids have been reading a variety of Fairy Tales.  We have been identifying the elements in a Fairy Tale, along with comparing and contrasting the different stories.

Flex Fridays are back!  Kids are learning about structures, macrame, food safety, animation on the computer, knitting and crocheting.

April 2nd - 13th

With the last two weeks being testing, we haven't gotten a lot to share, so we are combining the weeks into one post.

 Tolerance Lesson Wraps Up -  The weather finally got warm enough for us to put up our wishes for our Wish Tree.

Reading - This week was our week for our Reader's Theater.  With all the testing, we just performed for our classmates.
